The Legal Stuff
-
How is The Virtual Studio different from other e-design services? At Nicole Elizabeth INTRS, we take a collaborative team-based approach to every project. Rather than working with just one designer, you'll benefit from the combined creativity and expertise of our entire studio. Led by founder and principal designer Danielle Wolfrom, our team works together to craft spaces that are not only beautiful but also functional and deeply personalized. Our virtual process mirrors the feel of our full-service design experience, with Zoom consultations, a custom client portal, and ongoing collaboration. We don’t just deliver a concept, we provide a fully developed design plan complete with clickable shopping list, installation guide and expert styling tips. We source ready-to-purchase furniture and decor from a wide range of trusted retailers (both online and brick-and-mortar) based on product quality, design fit, and exceptional customer service. While some items may include affiliate links, our recommendations are always guided by what serves your space, style, and budget best. Every decision we make is rooted in your unique needs and the goal of delivering a thoughtful, elevated design experience.
-
What’s the difference between this and hiring a local interior designer? The Virtual Studio is flexible, transparent, and tailored to your schedule. You avoid hourly billing surprises, maintain control over purchases and timelines, and still receive expert design guidance. It’s the perfect balance of professional service and DIY flexibility, delivered entirely online.

Which rooms can I design with The Virtual Studio?Almost any room is fair game as long as major construction (like moving walls, plumbing, or electrical) isn’t involved. We design: Living rooms Dining rooms Entryways Bedrooms (primary, guest, kids) Nurseries Home offices Outdoor living spaces Small kitchens & bathrooms (keeping original layouts) Service Options: The Edit | Perfect for designing small areas within a larger space | like a work-from-home nook, a yoga or meditation zone, or making the most of an underused corner. The Update | A complete room refresh that keeps existing finishes and flooring in place (with the option to update paint colors). The Revamp | Ideal for larger or multifunctional rooms, or for kitchen and bathroom updates where the layout, plumbing, and electrical remain unchanged. Don’t see your room type listed? Not sure if a virtual service is the right fit for your project? Schedule a complimentary 15 minute Chat to talk through your vision with a designer and get expert guidance on the best next steps.
-
I only need help with a small area (like a desk or gym corner). Can you help?Yes! The Edit service is designed specifically for small-space design solutions like home offices, learning zones, or fitness corners.
-
Can you incorporate my existing furniture or décor?Absolutely! We love designing around meaningful or sentimental pieces. Just provide us with clear photos and measurements so we can integrate them seamlessly into your new design.
-
How will you know what I want?Once you book your service, you’ll gain access to your project portal. There, you’ll complete a design questionnaire and upload photos of your space (clutter is totally fine!). You can also share any inspiration images or Pinterest boards. The more info you share, the more tailored your final design will be.
-
Do I need to be tech-savvy to use The Virtual Studio? Not at all. If you can take photos with your phone and join a Zoom call, you’re more than capable. Our process is user-friendly, and we’re always here to guide you through it.
-
Do you offer design services for renters?Yes! We work with renters all the time and are happy to create beautiful, lease-friendly solutions that make your space feel like home, without risking your security deposit.
-
When will I receive my completed design?Depending on your selected service, you can expect your final design in 2 to 8 weeks. Timelines vary based on how quickly we receive all required info and how responsive you are throughout the process. Individual service pages outline specific timelines.
-
What if I don’t like something in my design? That’s totally okay, we want you to love your space! After your Design Presentation Zoom call, you’ll receive a Revisions & Re-selection form. You’ll have one week to review everything and request any changes. We offer one complimentary round of revisions, with no limit on the number of items you’d like to update. Need more changes after that? No problem. Additional revisions can be purchased in two-hour blocks ($300 per block), and your designer will help you determine how much additional time may be needed based on your requests.
-
How much work will I have to do?There’s a little setup at the beginning to get us started. You’ll need to: Take photos of your space | including entryways, staircases, and ceilings Upload room measurements (we provide a floor plan sketch to guide you) From there, we take the reins. We might reach out for the occasional measurement, but otherwise, we aim to make the process as seamless as possible while we work through the design process. Once your final design is delivered, the real fun begins! You’ll: Shop directly from your clickable shopping list Prep your space for installation (whether DIY or by hiring a pro for any painting or finish updates noted in your design) Assemble and place furniture and decor Add those finishing touches But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with easy-to-follow drawings, diagrams, and styling tips to guide you through the installation and ensure your space turns out beautifully.
-
How long will it take to finish my room after I receive the design? That entirely depends on your timeline, but we recommend placing orders right away. Lead times can vary, and items may sell out quickly. The sooner you install, the sooner you can enjoy your new space! If you’re working on a tight deadline, book a 15-Minute Chat with us before purchasing.
-
Can we still work together if I don’t live in Philadelphia?Absolutely! The Virtual Studio was designed to serve clients across the U.S. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate international clients at this time.
-
Can I purchase additional help after my design is complete?Yes! We offer additional design support that can be purchased in two-hour blocks ($300 per block). Whether it’s sourcing additional pieces or substitutions, layout adjustments, or styling help, we’re happy to provide continued guidance.
-
Do you offer gift cards or services as a gift?Yes, and they make beautiful, thoughtful gifts for new homeowners, newlyweds, or anyone settling into a new space. Reach out through our contact page to learn how to gift a virtual service.
